Elevating Schools. Strengthening Families. Transforming Haiti.

Saving lives in Haiti, one child, one family, one community at a time.

Faith

Elevate Haiti Initiative is a Christ-centered network of churches, schools, and a hospital committed to discipleship and lasting impact in Haiti. Pastors are equipped. Churches strengthened. Students are taught that they are created intentionally by God and deeply valued. Through prayer, discipleship, and biblical teaching, children grow in integrity, compassion, and responsibility — qualities that shape strong leaders and strong communities.

Health

Healthy children learn and succeed. Small health issues can quickly become major barriers to education. When children are healthy, they attend school consistently and perform better academically. Our 100-bed hospital — with surgical rooms and a delivery center — serves families connected to our school communities. By strengthening health systems, we remove obstacles that keep students from learning.

Education

Stronger families build stronger schools. A child’s success is deeply connected to the strength of their home. We partner with parents, churches, and local leaders, offering encouragement, relationships, and practical support whenever possible. We focus on empowerment over dependency, partnership over control, and long-term investment over temporary relief.

Hope is rising and lives are being restored in Haiti

Communities are being strengthened. Futures are being rewritten. For generations, Elevate Haiti Initiative has been walking alongside the people of Haiti…bringing not just relief, but lasting change rooted in faith, dignity, and opportunity.

This is not a story of despair – This is a story of impact

Testimonials

Saving lives in Haiti, one child,
one family, one community at a time.

"In 1990, I left my village and family with a book bag and some clothes. BHM provided a home and support needed to finish high school. Through this mission I built character and 15 years later I returned to the mountains with a medical license and built a community clinic that still operates today."

“Fermathe Hospital is a referral hospital that saves the lives of thousands of people in Haiti. Coming from Baie-de-Henne where there is no health center, my family and community members took unpaved roads to get medical care in Fermathe. Few years ago, I was admitted to Fermathe hospital, unlike the other health centers, patients are not neglected. The health workers at Fermathe hospital are engaged and their main objective is to improve the health of patients."

“The Baptist Haiti Mission changed my life. I got to complete all my education -from Kindergarten to college -through the educational and sponsorship program offered through BHM. I was immensely blessed by this Christian education."

I first became involved with Elevate Haiti Initiative in 2020, and from the beginning, I saw something different. This wasn’t just another organization doing good work from a distance—this was a movement deeply rooted in the communities it serves. The commitment to education, daily nutrition, and long-term transformation was clear, and I knew I wanted to be part of it.

What drew me in most was the direct impact. When you support Elevate Haiti Initiative, you’re not just giving to a cause—you’re investing in children, schools, and communities in a tangible way. A child who is nourished can learn. A student who is educated has a future. And a fully supported school becomes a place of stability, dignity, and hope.

I joined the financial team because I believe in building something sustainable—something that lasts. This work is too important to be temporary. It requires people who are willing to step in, give consistently, and help move schools from partially funded to fully sponsored.

I would encourage others to join the financial team because your support truly multiplies. You become part of a committed group helping ensure that every child is cared for, educated, and fed—every single day.

This is real impact. And it’s worth being part of.

I first found out about Elevate Haiti Initiative a couple of years ago. I went to go play in a charity pickleball game, and I was looking for who I could donate the money to. I decided to pick Elevate Haiti Initiative.

I just love how the money that you give transforms children and schools and communities throughout Haiti. Education is a really big deal, and I think sometimes in America, we don't even think twice about how we send our kids to school, they get an education, and it's just what you do.

It's not that way in other countries, especially Haiti.

I joined in the cause because they need us. They need people like you and I to step in, give consistently, and help more schools go from partially funded to fully funded. I want to encourage you to give. It's a great cause and every little bit helps.

You know, it's the easiest $40 a month that I spend. Even if you're like "Well I don't have $40 a month to spend," what about $5? I mean think about it...8 people donating $5 a month - Together, you get to that level where you're really impacting children and caring for their education in Haiti. These kids are getting fed and educated every single day.

This is real impact and it's worth being a part of.

Being on the Board of Elevate Haiti has been an eye opener! Trying to understand the magnitude of the mission with all the pieces has taken some time. The ministry supports 30,000 students, over 150 churches and a hospital. The ministry has been around for over 80 years! Everything should be figured out by now, right? So I joined the board with a business mindset thinking that with this type of reach across the country all they needed was a tweak here or there that might enable incremental improvement. I was mistaken!

I had no idea what the country had gone through until reading reports from our team. Reports that shed light on the reality of their plight, but reports that constantly shed light on their faith. Amid all the strive they always know that God is with them, He will sustain them and they will continue on, knowing what awaits them in Heaven.

The real eye opener was visiting the country earlier this year. I had read the reports, but nothing prepared me for the conditions the people of Haiti have to endure on a daily basis. I learned immediately that what was needed was truly Divine Intervention! I witnessed school children that got meals because of the ministry, because without the schools opening, they wouldn’t eat. I saw dedicated teachers that taught basic math, reading and writing in buildings that had not been upgraded in decades, on blackboards made of Masonite to smiling and willing students. I met Pastors who lead people to Christ every chance they have services.

What came to me on the trip was a reminder of what all of us probably have said a time or two: “There by the Grace of God go I.” These children, teachers, pastors and our staff do not have the choices we have. They need our support. Jesus was very clear: “ What you did for the least of these, you did for me.”

That is why I support the Elevate Haiti Initiative. I pray you will as well.

Few ministries I've encountered consistently exhibit the vision, courage, and integrity that this Christ-centered nonprofit has shown through the years. The people of Haiti unequivocally face extraordinary -- and in modern times, perhaps unprecedented -- adversity. From the devastation of natural disasters, to COVID, to the heartbreaking and pervasive gangland style violence, the people of Haiti have been serially assaulted. Faced with all this, it would have been easy to justify and rationalize exiting the mission. On the contrary, however, the record reflects continuing generous service founded on faith in Jesus.

Perhaps the most important dimension to all of this is their deeply rooted belief that assistance should be about "Haitians helping Haitians!" This highly strategic approach empowers communities throughout the country -- and blesses and honors the Haitian people with rightful dignity. Bottom line: Through the hundreds of schools serving Haiti's impoverished children and the fully functioning hospital, this group of dedicated and committed servant leaders are restoring hope, investing in a much brighter future, and transforming lives to God's glory.

Education is one of the most powerful ways to create lasting change in Haiti. When a school is supported, classrooms stay open, teachers are equipped, children are nourished, and families gain stability.
